Alessi - C.P. Company Steel Double Wall Mug
Reinterpreted for the Alessi - C.P. Company collaboration, this double-wall mug was originally designed by Jean Nouvel in 2005 as part of the Tea & Coffee Towers research project. Its shape draws inspiration from a cup widely used in cafés during the 1960s: a simple truncated-cone in thick porcelain, coffee-coloured on the outside and gold-toned on the inside. Crafted from 18/10 stainless steel with a black PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) surface finish, a specialised treatment in which an ultra-thin layer of metal is deposited onto the surface. With use, the finish gradually evolves, developing subtle tonal variations that give rise to a distinctive patina, enhancing its material character and uniqueness. As a final step in the production process, the co-branded logo is laser-engraved after the PVD coating has been applied.

Care
- For cleaning, use a soft damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive sponges or chemically aggressive products, as they may damage the surface finish. Subtle tonal variations over time are to be considered a natural evolution of the material.
