- New Fabrics
- P-Lastic is made out of a bi-stretch nylon jersey, resulting in a lightweight shield-fabric capable of protecting the body with no costraint whatsoever. Maximum technology means maximum comfort.
The design and construction process of P-Lastic garments are grounded on cutting edge ultrasonic welding technology, which reduces waste and energy consumption. P-Lastic is a seamless, impenetrable barrier, also extremely light thanks to the no-stitch construction.
The sonic welding process applies high-frequency ultrasonic vibrations to the fabric. The vibrating energy could be compared to an hypersonic, microscopic hammering, which causes local melting of the fabric pieces, and therefore a very precise and permanent bonding.
The technology has been employed in the purest and most simple fashion possible, letting the technology guide the final form of a blazer, a raincoat or a simple jacket, so that the garments appear to have almost “designed themselves”, naturally choosing a clean, minimalistic silhouette.
